Sarah's First Christmas

Sarah has been enjoying her first Christmas so far, but she has a lot to learn still about unwrapping presents. I'm sure that she will get lots more practice over the next few years, so for right now she can just concentrate on grabbing the bows.

Sarah has also been busy trying new foods. Although Sarah will eat peas, squash, and carrots, she likes them much more when they are mixed with bananas. Sarah also enjoyed having a play date with her friend Megan on Friday.

Sarah's Christmas Portraits

I am sure that these pictures will be in hot demand this holiday season. As I mentioned before, I am pretty amazed that we were able to even get four happy and alert pictures out of Sarah considering how crazy the portrait studio was. Well here you go...

I am sure all of you alert blog readers will notice the other changes to the website. A new family picture has finally been loaded up and of course it represents our failed attempt at using our camera on a timer. There was pretty much no chance that we were going to get Sarah and the dogs all looking at the camera at the same time, but it sure was fun to try (maybe the first 10 times it was fun). Anyway, our Christmas cards will be something different this year and we can enjoy this first family picture on our blog.

Sarah's Christmas Out Takes

Monday night we braved the cold weather to face the zoo that was at the portrait studio. You will have to wait to see the pictures that we picked, so instead, enjoy all of Sarah's funny out takes. I am amazed that Sarah held up as long as she did because we waited for over an hour before we started taking pictures.

So Who Else Likes Prunes?

Sarah has been having a pretty interesting week so far. She hadn't filled her diaper for quite a few days so the nurse told us to mix in some prunes with her rice cereal. It worked like a charm...Sarah really liked them and within a few hours mommy had a stinky load to take care of. I imagine that Joella will start trying some other foods for Sarah from now on.

Sarah has now worked up to a full sized high chair and a new bouncy seat. She likes them both, but Joella had to rig them up since Sarah is still so small.

And yes, that is poor Sarah being subjected to a Chiefs outfit. Even Sarah can't bring the Chiefs good luck. Maybe they will be respectable again when Sarah is a little older.

One of Sarah's favorite tricks is laying on her back all quiet when suddenly she giggles, hikes up her legs, and then flips over really quick. Here is a good picture of her in the middle of her giggle-roll...

More Pictures From Thanksgiving Weekend

Sarah started taking some rice cereal this past week and she is still trying to figure out how to swallow it down. The doctor also suggested that we stopped swaddling her so Sarah's sleeping routine has become much more difficult. Although Sarah still sleeps pretty well throughout the night, her daytime naps have become way too short.

Munching on some cereal...

Get this Raiders hat off of me!

Chayton loves to hold Sarah...

Staci trying to keep the drool off of her sweater...but she's used to it!

I'm sure that this innocent red-haired girl (Amelia) will never get into trouble with Sarah...

Pictures From Sarah's Baptism

Here are a few pictures and film clips from Sarah's baptism. It was great to be able to visit with family and friends all last weekend. The deacon didn't hold back on the amount of water that he used during the ceremony, but Sarah didn't mind. Sarah was great throughout the entire baptism, but she did make mommy and Aunt Loretta laugh quite a bit when she started tooting while the deacon was in the middle of the ceremony.

Our Squirming Cutie

Sarah suprised us last night by rolling over from her back onto her stomach. Now she is doing it all of the time, but the problem is Sarah doesn't realize that she has to push the opposite way in order to roll back over onto her back. Sarah then gets tired on her stomach and starts to flip out. What a silly cutie she is!
